Hey Everyone!
I realize I have been preoccupied with other projects. To be fair, I tried to knit/crochet one time when I was about 18. I tried to crochet again a few years ago, but now I’ve become obsessed with trying to perfect everything. That’s my problem. If it’s not perfect, I start to give up on it.
But I’m learning it’s okay to not be perfect with everything. Just doing the best you can is all you can do.
I didn’t add the links last week. I plan on keeping track with that, and I apologize. I have to learn to be kinder to myself. And speaking of kind… Onto this week’s topic:
Week 35
November 13th – 19th
Kindness
This one is going to be a tad different. I would like to shy away from what we’ve been doing, and go for something else. That way, it’s not in the same format as the other group. I would like to keep it simple (if possible).
With this week’s topic, take a line from the song “Hands” by Jewel (lyrics enclosed), and start that as your main sentence. Then run with that.
Song:
If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we’re all OK
And not to worry ’cause worry is wasteful
And useless in times like these
I won’t be made useless
Won’t be idle with despair
I’ll gather myself around my faith
For light does the darkness most fear
My hands are small, I know
But they’re not yours, they are my own
But they’re not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken
Poverty stole your golden shoes
It didn’t steal your laughter
And heartache came to visit me
But I knew it wasn’t ever after
We’ll fight, not out of spite
For someone must stand up for what’s right
‘Cause where there’s a man who has no voice
There ours shall go singing
My hands are small I know
(Chrous)
In the end, only kindness matters (x2)
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray (x3)
(Chorus) (x3)
We are never broken
We are God’s eyes
God’s hands
God’s mind
We are God’s eyes
God’s hands
God’s heart
Here’s the picture for this week! Not my best creative work, but it was what came to mind.
Happy Writings!!!
